Making fun of Obama is dangerous speech? No, it is protected speech

Poster Showing President Obama as "Joker"

Obama poster news story

"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous."

Yes, well it is also protected under free speech, like the Mapplethorpe or the head of the Madonna made out of cow feces (and I am not Catholic by the way). These expressions were hotly debated and advocates of free speech strongly defended them. Likewise, the Obama Joker is free expression, and because it is a political expression it should be treated as the highest form of protected speech. The artist seems to saying that the Joker is a thief who steals from others. Like wise, Obama is a thief stealing from tax payers with his socialist agenda.  But that's just my observation.
