O for "O" bedient

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they are watching the movie "V for Vendetta"? Now, I know this movie was a Hollywood Bush hating orgy complete with look alike actors for Bush and Cheney, but it seems that the real tryants are in Washington now. Our leaders are making choices for us because we are too weak and ignorant to do it for ourselves and thus enters tyranny while democracy shuffles off in a complacent slump.

 

Let me, if you will, make some comparrisons:

 

Chancellor Sutler to his country: You will Obey me.....

 

 

 

Tim Geitner to the auto industry: You will obey me...and by the way, GM CEO--you're fired!

 

Pharmaceutical Industry makes billions combating illness:

Reality: drugmakers makes billons on Swine Flu:  Companies reaping the swine flu windfall

 

 

V: Our story begins, as these stories often do, with a young up-and-coming politician. He's completely single-minded and has no regard for the political process. The more power he attains, the more obvious his zealotry and the more aggressive his supporters become

 

Reality: Obama ignores the Senate's constitutional responsibility to ratify treaties: US-Russian Arms Negotiators "Under the Gun," Might Temporarily Bypass Senate Ratification for Treaty

 

V: Fueled by the media, fear and panic spread quickly, fracturing and dividing the country until at last the true goal comes into view.... But the end result, the true genius of the plan, was the fear. Fear became the ultimate tool of this government...[in order to pass healthcare reform]

 

1) Reality: Obama accuses greedy doctors of malpratice for the sake of the almighty dollar.   Paging Doctor Mengele

2) Reality: Obama tells lefty bloggers to keep the pressure on Congress to pass the healthcare bill.

                 Blogger question: a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: "Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?"

 

                President Obama reply: "You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."

 

Right --- so inspire fearing mongering among the media to pass legislation that Chancellor O...I mean President Obama has not read.

 

In closing: He promised you order. He promised you peace. And all he demanded in return was your silent, "O"bedient consent.

 

Hope and Change ---- Vendetta style.
