Culture of Corruption?

EXCLUSIVE: Senator's husband cashes in on crisis

For anyone paying attention, this headline should come as no surprise. The Senator in question is Dianne Feinstein. Senator Feinstein, A Democrat from California, used to be the Chairwoman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs. She had to step down because of allegations that she was using her position on the subcommittee to direct projects her husband's way. She immediately stepped down saying it was a conflict of interest to be the Chairwoman. Oddly, she did not address whether it was conflict for her to be the highest ranking Democrat on the subcommittee for years while the Dems were in the minority.

You know it's funny--Senator Feinstein is from California and is the Chairwoman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Jane Harman is a Congresswoman from California and was publicly humiliated for not getting the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. Of course we know its because of the NSA-AIPAC scandal. There maybe something to this culture of corruption thing. Maybe when its said and done Feinstein and Harman can team up to give new Political appointees their ethics briefings. I mean who is better suited to brief the incoming tax cheats for the Hope and Change express. When's the next tea party?

PS Feinstein is also the Senator who wants Congress to ignore the Second Amendment and take away guns from all Americans. Of course she does this from her massive, gated estate within Washington, DC in one of the priciest neighborhoods. Chalk it up to another limousine liberal telling America "Live as I say, not as I do."
