VOA News - US Army Chief of Staff: More Troops Needed in Afghanistan

Once again, Voice of America provides some of the clearest news on what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today VOA reports that Army Chief of Staff General George Casey recommends that the United States needs 40,000 more troops in Afghanistan. President Obama and Administration have been reluctant to admit more troops were required to secure Afghanistan. Since taking office in January of this year, reality met Obama's flaky, hippy-dippy, campaign rhetoric head on and had tragic consequences. 2009 Has been the most deadly year by far for American troops in the entire 8 years of the war on terror. July and August of this year saw massive spikes in the savagery and violence in Afghanistan while Obama, a Democratic Congress, and the Pentagon did nothing; except wax idiotic about health reform. It seems that not much has changed.
