It was disheartening to see Senator Jim DeMint's amendment to audit the Federal Reserve blocked by the Senate Democratic leadership. What's encouraging, however, is that Ron Paul's same bill has picked up a lot of steam in the House. My guess is that it won't pass, but the fact that this mysterious entity is being exposed for the sham that it is, will be good for the long-term. It's just unfortunate that many of the Republican candidates laughed at Ron Paul's economic predictions. Had they listened, they would have created a better economic platform on which to run on.
