2nd Amendment takes another slap in the face

Today the Senate made another questionable vote on the annual defense bill by voting against an amendment that would allow concealed permit holders to carry their concealed firearms across state lines. Of course the usual suspects of gun control came rushing to the floor to denounce guns as an evil relic of America's past and lamented that not all Americans could be as enlightened as they are or live in gated communities like they do. So once again, the Second Amendment was used as a door mat for liberal Americans who think that hate crime legislation should be in the defense bill, but not the right for law abiding citizens to carry their firearms across state lines. I mean what's going to protect you more; a round loaded in the chamber, or some piece of pathetic legislation that can do nothing for you until you become the victim? By the way, way to go Senator Thune. I hope you and your staff keep up the good work.

By the way click here for a list of Senators who voted against the Second Amendment.
