Cal Supreme Court Ruling is a clever two step to overturning same sex marriage ban

The California Supreme Court announced that the same sex marriage ban can stand and so can the same sex marriages entered into prior to the ban. The court has basically ruled against same sex marriage in a clever charade by opening the back to door of this issue to an equal protection challenge thus being able to revisit this issue in a year or so and rule on the mess they created today. If they were opposed to the same sex ban, they should have just ruled that way and let everyone get on with their lives. Instead this mess will probably have to be fixed at the federal level and the Cal Supreme Court can claim that they took the highroad ruling for everyone - today we're all winners. Such two-faced drivel is so typical of all things California.
