Is Obama a modern Neville Chamberlain?

Yes. Like Chamberlain Obama's foreign policy is based on appeasement and capitulation (which would explain bowing to the Saudi King). Every thing is America's fault and dictators like Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are simply misunderstood and need a hug from Washington. The world cannot tolerate blatantly idiotic foreign policy like the Kellog-Briand Pact which outlawed war in 1928 - that is until Germany made it legal again 1938. You can add the Law of the Sea Treaty to stupid policies while you're at it. Tryants don't care about paper. They care about power. And they take advantage of the seemingly good intentions of peace-at-all costs politicians until they are ready to strike and inflict untold destruction on a world that just should have known better.

I highly recommend Ian Kershaw's, Making Friends with Hitler. The comparisons are chillingly similar.

  1. The whole thing is ridiculous. Obama will no doubt be seen as weak around the world.

  2. Could you be more specific about the Law of the Sea Convention? The Navy makes strong arguments in its favor that have been endorsed by all living CNOs. The Coast Guard feels the same. Do you object to the provisions of the Convention or just to having written international law in general?
